1. The IJssel Route 

This route follows the banks of the IJssel and offers breathtaking views over the water and the surrounding landscape. You cycle through picturesque villages and can enjoy the peace and nature. The route is approximately 53.7 km long and includes a ferry crossing1.

2. The Hanseatic Cities Route

This route connects historic Hanseatic cities such as Kampen, Hattem, and Zwolle. You cycle past beautiful old buildings and learn more about the rich history of these cities. The route is approximately 44 km long and takes you past the most beautiful spots of these Hanseatic cities.

Tip from Laura: take Jacob's ferry at Haersterveer. Time has stood still here... The ferryman will take you across the Vecht with this last hand-drawn cable ferry in the Netherlands. Open from May to September between 10:00 - 18:00 for €0.60 per person! 😊

3. The Vechtdal Route

A beautiful route through the green Vechtdal, where you can enjoy peace and nature. This route takes you along the banks of the Overijsselse Vecht and through charming villages. It is an ideal route for those who love a quiet and picturesque bike ride.

4. Round Zwolle

This route of approximately 39.7 km lets you explore the city of Zwolle and its immediate surroundings. You cycle along the canals, through parks, and past historic buildings. It is an easy route suitable for any level.

5. Cycling route along the waters of Zwolle

Prefer a shorter ride? Then this route of approximately 18 km is ideal. You cycle along the various waters around Zwolle, such as the Overijsselse Vecht, the Zwarte Water, and the Wijde AA. It is a short but beautiful route that is perfect for a relaxing bike ride.
