Climb the Peperbus and the Sassenpoort

Did you know you can rent bikes at the hotel reception? Perfect for a ride to the cozy center of Zwolle. And once you're in the center, a visit to the famous 'Peperbus' is a must. This church owes its nickname to the striking copper roof from 1828. You can climb the tower for a beautiful view over the city and surroundings. Can you see the hotel in the distance?

Another Zwolle icon is the Sassenpoort, a bit further in the city. This old city gate is regularly open to visitors. The enthusiastic volunteers are happy to tell you more about the history of this special monument.

Museum ANNO and Museum de Fundatie

For culture and history lovers, Zwolle has plenty to offer. In Museum ANNO, you learn everything about Zwolle and its residents. You are taken through the city's history with photos, objects, and stories.

Museum de Fundatie is one of the city's most striking buildings: in 2013, a special egg-shaped floor was built on top of the former courthouse. For that reason alone, the museum is worth a visit. Museum de Fundatie has a beautiful permanent art collection. The rest of the museum hosts changing exhibitions.
