How to Choose the Right Meeting Setup
"And what meeting setup do you prefer in the room?" It's one of the questions we often ask when discussing the details for a quote request over the phone. Choosing the right setting is an essential part of a successful meeting. Don't worry, in this blog we will guide you through the most chosen meeting setups.
U-shape or Square Setup
The U-shape setup is often chosen for small groups of up to 20 people, such as for a training or workshop. We also often recommend this setup for the standard 8-hour arrangements. The advantage of a U-shape is that it encourages interaction among participants. Are you organizing a creative brainstorming session? Then this setup is very suitable for that. A variation on the U-shape is the square setup, where the opening is closed. Finally, the opening in the middle can also be closed. In such a case, we refer to it as a block setup.
Cabaret or Classroom Setup
For slightly larger groups that still want a table at the meeting, we usually recommend a cabaret setup or a classroom setup. In cabaret, there are a maximum of four participants at each table. In a classroom setup, each participant often has their own table. Both meeting setups are suitable for plenary sessions, where it is desired that participants have the opportunity to write at a table.
A variant of the traditional cabaret is a cabaret setup with round tables. This way, participants can engage in conversation more easily.
Boardroom
Are you with a small group, for example with the management team? Then a boardroom is often suitable for meetings. In our venue, meeting room 10 and 20 are standard set up as a boardroom, but of course, it is also possible to create a similar setup in one of our other meeting rooms.
Theater
Finally, the theater setting, for when you are organizing a conference, for example. A theater setting is usually chosen for presentations with a speaker, where large numbers are present. This often goes up to 500 people with us, but if desired, a larger capacity is also possible.
