Trainee Host/Hostess

For our Bluefinger Restaurant and Lounge, we are looking for a trainee to join our team in the new school year! Bluefinger is part of Lumen Hotel & Events, which includes a hotel, an event center, and the Bluefinger Restaurant & Lounge.

At Bluefinger, we love everything related to food and drink, do you too? Then we might just get along very well! We are open seven days a week and provide our guests with food and drinks in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Tasks you will perform as a trainee include:

• Participating in breakfast, bar, and/or dinner services;
• Setting tables for breakfast, lunch, or dinner;
• Taking orders, processing them in our cash register system, and then bringing them to our guest at the table;
• Independently running lounge services, during which you prepare drinks and take lunch orders;
• Contributing during PEC Zwolle home games, as Lumen Hotel & Events is located in the MAC3PARK stadium. Here you will run a bar service or assist in the restaurant.

Of course, there are many more tasks you will perform as a trainee, but this also depends on your own goals and ambitions. We would love to discuss this further during an introduction!

As a trainee in our restaurant, you are:

• Someone who is following a BBL course in the direction of (Independent) Working Host/Hostess or Participating Hospitality Entrepreneur;
• Someone who speaks a little English, as we receive many international guests;
• Someone who can handle peak moments well;
• Someone who works according to the applicable HACCP rules.

Furthermore, you are flexibly deployable and willing to work on weekends, evenings, and some holidays. If you have an evening when you really can't work (due to sports, etc.), let us know. We can take this into account when making the schedules.
