The Bluefinger Restaurant is the beating heart of Lumen Hotel & Events. Here, our hotel guests start their day with an extensive breakfast buffet and (hopefully) return in the evening for a delicious three-course dinner. Curious about what we serve in our restaurant? Click here!

As a Service Staff member, you will work in the Bluefinger Restaurant. Your focus is on dinner, your shift starts at 3:00 PM and ends around 11:00 PM. Together with your colleagues and restaurant manager, Mara van der Linden, you ensure that our guests lack nothing. This is what you will be doing:

• At the beginning of your shift, you make sure the restaurant is completely ready for that evening's dinner. Everything is neat, the tables are set, and you know exactly who has reservations;
• You perform the 'standard' service tasks, such as taking and serving orders. You also contribute to a pleasant atmosphere and consult (if necessary) with the kitchen;
• After dinner, you help prepare the restaurant for the next day's breakfast. This way, we help our breakfast colleagues a bit!

Want to work in our lounge during the day? Or pick up a breakfast shift? That's possible! It may also be that we ask you to take one of these shifts if we can't quite figure out the schedule. Don't worry, this is always done in consultation.

Do you already have hospitality experience?
That's a plus! But even without experience, we invite you to apply for this position, as experience is not a requirement. What we do expect from you is curiosity about the profession. Other things we ask for are:

• You are flexibly employable, you will mainly work during dinner;
• You have a good command of the Dutch language. Do you also speak a bit of English? That's a plus! We also welcome international guests at Lumen;
• You have a proactive and hospitable attitude.
